"If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito in the room. - The Dalai Lama

In 2013, he knocked on my door, quietly but confidently. I stood by the CNC machine, and after five hours of listening to the plates and the monotonous noise, I asked myself what I was doing here. My present self appeared in front of me and looked over, half in awe, half in judgement, with narrowed eyebrows. "You are a helper," the thought echoed in my head. The next day, I left school and headed to Pázmány Péter Catholic University, where I was trained to be a professional teacher. English and Hungarian became my main subjects when I set out on my journey, then Japanese and Spanish joined. I am proud to be a teacher and to teach in a different way. "Of course," you think to yourself, "this is about the tenth page I've read of this". Maybe the others are right, but I'm happy to show you my principles that maximise love-based teaching and minimise stress levels. I'll give you a sense of security, create that bubble of confidence within you, and then support you along your journey until you feel ready to embark on your goals on your own.

Let's enrich each other's experiences and let me help you take the first step towards success! :)

English

“Love is the only way to grasp another human being in the innermost core of his personality. No one can become fully aware of the very essence of another human being unless he loves him. By his love he is enabled to see the essential traits and features in the beloved person; and even more, he sees that which is potential in him." - Viktor Frankl

After my high school years, I had the opportunity to try myself out at a variety of different things. In 2016, I spent some time living in England and during that time I started to think about doing some type of work that I could experience as useful and, most importantly, meaningful. Since then, every beat of my soul has been telling me that helping others is one of the most valuable and meaningful things in the world. Driven by this intuition, in 2017 I decided to become a psychologist - a path I have been on ever since - and for this, a strong command of English was a must. This decision was followed by an intermediate and then an advanced level language exam. To be able to pass on knowledge to another person and to see their continuous development, to which I have been able to contribute, is a source of joy and gratitude.

I believe that it is by making and recognising a series of mistakes that we become proficient and experienced in any subject, and this is also true for language learning.

I will provide you with an empathetic learning environment in which you will be able to gain language skills effectively and with understanding. I believe that through this not necessarily easy, but intellectually rewarding and lovingly supported journey, we can reach the goal together.

"Dream what you want, go where you want, be who you want, because you have only one life and only one chance to do the things you want" - Paulo Coelho

I am currently a Master's student in Japanese Studies at Eötvös Loránd University. When I came to Budapest, I felt for the first time in my life that I was finally in control, that I could study what I had always been interested in. Even as a child, I was fascinated by the sound of the Japanese language and Japanese culture. So it was with great eagerness that I started my studies in the Bachelor of Oriental Languages and Cultures. It was a huge dream come true in 2019 when I was offered a scholarship to study for a year at the International University of Japan in Josai. On campus, I mentored students studying Hungarian on a weekly basis and helped out in Hungarian classes. It was during these sessions that I realised how much I enjoy learning together and helping others achieve their goals. The friendly, welcoming community really helped me to keep my enthusiasm alive during my undergraduate year. I also realised that motivation only really comes once you've started something. That's how my dream became a reality. That's why I would like to encourage you to give it a try! I want to share not only my language skills, but also my experiences in Japan. Learning as friends, side by side, enjoying learning; that's what I want to make it happen for you!
